Redesigned Website for the Washington Wine Academy – 2013
Washington Wine Academy is the oldest client of ours for which we still continue to do work since we designed their first website. WWA, based in Arlington, VA, holds classes and wine/beer/spirit tasting events. Their previous website was using Joomla! as its Content Management System but staff found it cumbersome to use. We created this new version using WordPress as the site’s CMS and staff now is very happy with the ease of updating their site.
- Slight changes to site architecture to make it more user-friendly
- Colors to match their services (wine)
- Slider on the home page to promote services and direct visitors to said service’s own page via CTA (Call To Action) button
- A new event calendar system which is better for websites visitors as well as WWA staff to update
- Responsive (mobile-friendly) technology which allows the site to adjust automatically if viewed on a mobile device.
- On-site optimization for search engines (SEO)
